About Carl Mischka
Raised in the upper Midwest Carl Mischka has sailed the Great Barrier
Reef in Australia, the North Sea, and points in-between. Carl
began sailing in the late 1970's when he spent an intensive weekend at
the Offshore Sailing School in City Island, NY. He has owned a 28'
Folkboat, Downeast 32, a Camper Nicholson 40DS, a Nauticat 43 and his
present Oyster 485 which he keeps in Newport Beach, CA.
After a successful career in Magazine Advertising Sales Carl cruised
8,000 miles, mostly double-handed, from Newport Beach to Antigua, then
to Newport, RI and down to Key West. In 2003 Carl returned to
Southern California and begin his career in Yacht Brokerage with a well
established firm based in Dana Point. Through an associate
Carl learned of the
YachtMinder
business model and how it places prospective buyer's for a

the listing agent. Carl recognized this intuitively direct
method provides buying & selling clients with the best possible
service, and after a six month Mexican cruise in 2005/6,
decided to affiliate his yacht sales license with YachtMinder Yacht
Brokerage in July of 2006.
Carl brings a wealth of sales and boating experience to YachtMinder.

business success and high level sales experience. Holding a USCG
Masters License with Sail and Towing Endorsements Carl often
participates in deliveries for his clients as well. He has experience
in offshore-deliveries and the ramifications of the California tax
laws relating to recreational vessels. Carl is diligent about
matching buyers with the perfect yacht and bringing sellers an
expedient sale, for both a trouble-free transaction is his top
priority.
