About Joe Cooper:
Joe grew up on the
waters of Southern California. Whether it was watching the elephant
seals on the Channel Islands, chasing tuna offshore of Mexico, or
fighting billfish in Costa Rica, Joe has spent a lot of time on the
water. His family built one of the most modern and innovative commercial
fishing boats on the West Coast.
Joe has a degree from
San Diego State University in Recreation Systems Management, which has
given Joe the insights required provide his buying clients with
invaluable advice for obtaining a maximum enjoyment from their purchase.
At the age of 24, while working for the Mission Bay Aquatic Center, Joe
became a licensed captain. Before settling on a career in yacht
brokerage, Joe was the Sales and Marketing Director for a web
development company. With the combined insights fisherman, a
qualified sea captain, and an Internet website development professional,
is very proficient at using Internet technologies to achieve his
client’s intended goals. Additionally, Joe is experienced with the
unique sales and commissioning processes required for newly built boats.
After five years with
one of San Diego's established yacht brokerage firms Joe realized that
his successful mix of yacht sales acumen, technical knowledge, and his
genuine passion for yachting was a perfect fit for YachtMinder's highly
