About Joe Cooper:

Joe grew up on the waters of Southern California. Whether it was watching the elephant seals on the Channel Islands, chasing tuna offshore of Mexico, or fighting billfish in Costa Rica, Joe has spent a lot of time on the water. His family built one of the most modern and innovative commercial fishing boats on the West Coast.

Joe has a degree from San Diego State University in Recreation Systems Management, which has given Joe the insights required  provide his buying clients with invaluable advice for obtaining a maximum enjoyment from their purchase.  At the age of 24, while working for the Mission Bay Aquatic Center, Joe became a licensed captain.  Before settling on a career in yacht brokerage, Joe was the Sales and Marketing Director for a web development company.  With the combined insights fisherman, a qualified sea captain, and an Internet website development professional, is very proficient at using Internet technologies to achieve his client’s intended goals. Additionally, Joe is experienced with the unique sales and commissioning processes required for newly built boats.

After five years with one of San Diego's established yacht brokerage firms Joe realized that his successful mix of yacht sales acumen, technical knowledge, and his genuine passion for yachting was a perfect fit for YachtMinder's highly effective business model.

Joe’s approach to selling boats is very straight forward and upfront. He takes pride in what he does and will go out of his way to insure that his clients get the results they deserve.   • YachtMinder produces professional .PDF (Adobe) brochures for each listing.  Proofed for accuracy and easily emailed or printed from the YachtMinder website, these Adobe formatted brochures allow us to quickly distribute a polished presentations for each of our listings to our database of prospective buyers, and to other yacht brokers. 

  • YachtMinder employs a comprehensive International marketing program for its listings that include a detailed on-line presentation of the yacht's specifications and a carefully crafted photo tour at our in-house website.  We then create custom Web- Ads that link to our main website presentations and post these Web-Ads to the most popular yacht sales web sites: the Yacht Brokerage MLS (YachtWorld), boats.com, BoatsUS, and to our high volume advertising venues on Yahoo.com, Google.com, and Craig's List. 

  • Each YachtMinder on-line listing display includes our proprietary formula for presenting a virtual showing photo tour.  When a photo tour is accessed our website simultaneously transmits the viewer's specific contact information to the Listing Agent's cell phone.  Then by responding in real-time with a phone call to the contact, our listing agents transform each photo tour of their listings into a personalized multi-media sales presentation. 

  • The attractive all-weather "Yacht For Sale" signs that we display aboard each listing prominently display the listing agent's name, cell phone number, and the Internet location for downloading a brochure and viewing a photo tour of the yacht.  Like the rest of our advertising, our signage provides each prospective buyer with an an on-the-spot ability to contact the listing agent for each yacht we offer for sale, regardless of business hours.
