About Steve Shull
Growing up in the Puget Sound region
of Washington State Steve was drawn to his life-long love of yachts and
the sea at a time when many of the major yacht builders in the Northwest
were just getting a foothold in the business. A number of these
boat yards soon recognized Steve as a familiar face, and as age allowed
he spent his early working years employed at a few of their yards.
Steve's professional career began with
the Weyerhaeuser Company where he remained to become one of their
trusted executives until retirement became available. Having
pursued his love of boating as a pastime while at Weyerhaeuser, Steve
chose an active retirement path and began another career in yacht
brokerage. After joining Fraser Yachts in Seattle
Steve became aware of the YachtMinder
yacht brokerage concept and followed it with interest. Several years passed, Steve moved from
a successful stay with Fraser Yachts to Compass Point Yachts and
realized that YachtMinder's
yacht brokerage business model would allow him to better serve
his clients. In September of 2002 Steve left
Compass Point Yachts to join YachtMinder
Yacht Brokerage.
In addition to passing the California
Department of Boating and Waterways state exam for a yacht salesman's
license Steve is also licensed as a nationally Certified Professional Yacht Broker. We
welcome Steve's professionalism and his natural ability to serve a

his extensive knowledge of the region's larger yachts.
