The versatile Bayliner 3988 Command Bridge Sedan is
a fast, attractive cruiser with comfortable two stateroom,
galley-up interior
layout. Nicely arranged inside and out, the Bayliner 3988 has a
cockpit for fishing and swimming, a foredeck suitable for sun
bathing, an upper deck for piloting with guests, a roomy
interior for entertaining, and two sleeping cabins.
This one-owner Bayliner 3988 has
only 400 hours engine use,
is very well kept and offers the
following features:
The cockpit may
be entered from a swim platform (with a fisherman's bait tank)
via transom door. The efficient cockpit area has deck hatches
to lazzarette storage and an 8kW generator, rails fitted with
integral rod holders, molded steps to side decks, stainless
steel ladder to flying bridge, and navy blue canvass bimini
overhead. The foredeck has a molded-in sunpad space, bow pulpit
with anchor roller and electric windlass. Welded stainless
steel handrails provide a good measure of on deck safety without
compromising the overall exterior impression of sleek good
looks. The flying bridge is accessed from the cockpit ladder
and is fitted as a command flying bridge with complete helm
controls, navigation electronics, stainless steel hand rails,
and comfortable seating for helmsman and guests. To shelter
from windy afternoons a navy blue canvas bimini top fitted with
removable clear isinglass side curtains.
The main cabin is entered from the cockpit by a
sliding glass door. The adjoining main cabin spaces of the
salon, galley, and lower helm with guest settee are open one to
another and allow a 360 degree view from windows fitted to all
four sides. Functionally arranged to balance available floor
space with comfortable furnishings the salon features an
L-shaped tan leather sofa style settee to port of the cockpit
entry door. A serving table is fitted to an adjustable high-low
pedestal allowing the settee to function as sofa or as an extra
dinette. The starboard portion of the salon is fitted with
light toned teak cabinets and a conveniently placed ice maker.
Forward of the salon to starboard and up two steps is an
L-shaped galley with countertops open to the salon and the lower
helm positioned to starboard and a portside L-shaped guest
settee with high-low dinette table. This elegant floor plan
allows for the
functional galley to be
centrally positioned without diminishing the flowing
presentation of an open teak and leather interior.
Forward and down a few steps from the lower helm station and
settee are two sleeping cabins and head with and enclosed stall
shower. The guest cabin with a single berth is to starboard,
owner’s cabin at the bow features a hanging clothes locker, an
overhead hatch, a centerline queen sized bed on pedestal frame
with teak facing and storage drawers, and port and starboard
storage shelves.
