REMARKS:

This Power-Cat yacht is offered as a new construction that be finished to the buyers specifications.  The basic floor plan offers an enclosed pilothouse, salon, galley, aft deck and 4 double staterooms.  If you have been interested in the wide spaces and economic aspects of cruising a twin hulled motor yacht, this is a great opportunity to have one completed to your specifications.

Here is some commentary from the builder/designer:

"Although I owned my first catamaran in 1959 and subsequently built a number of boats , I did not become involved in designing until 1966 when with two friends, I designed an international A-class catamaran. Thirty two of these boats were built and they won a number of Auckland and National titles. I became a licensed builder of Tornado's and Sting-ray's and then in 1969 I designed, and built the first of my larger boats. This was the VORPAL BLADE, one of the first catamarans of this size [11m/36'] to use alloy cross beams. In 1972 I produced the BAMBOO BOMBER which was a bench mark in stressed plywood construction and the use of wing masts. The very popular GREAT BARRIER EXPRESS which followed in 1973 became the archetype for the larger of the beach style catamaran, there are more than two hundred of this design [including my own] floating around the world."  (Malcolm Tennant)
