REMARKS:
| Founded by Jules Marshall, the
Marshall Co. built a reputation in the 1970s for fiberglass
Californians, yachts that offered U.S. know-how and construction
for a West Coast market dominated by Taiwanese imports.
The Californian designs began a trend toward roomy,
livable cruising boats that could really get up and go. A fine
example of Marshall's work in the early 70's is the Californian
38 Sport Fish Sedan. One of twelve
built, this particular yacht has been beautifully restored,
(some final renovation currently being completed) by an owner
whose family has owned the yacht for nearly 20 years.
Built of fiberglass and re-powered in 1990 with reliable
250 HP Cummins
engines, this twin Diesel yacht has two sleeping cabins forward,
an up-galley/salon, a large fishing cockpit, and
a flying bridge with an upper helm station. A nice
testament to the care with which they were designed and built,
after 30 years of use and proper maintenance this yacht remains
an excellent choice for West Coast boaters interested in
safe, economical coastal cruising & fishing.
