Five-Star
best describes the accommodations aboard the Cabo 45
Express. Everywhere flawless book-matched
woods and blemish free finishes gleam in the custom
designed halogen lighting. Ultra Leather upholstery and
six speaker sound system from Bose go well beyond the
standard fishing machine
category. Luxurious
interior accommodations aside; the Cabo 45 Express is
foremost a serious sport fisher capable of turning on a
dime and backing down in fast chase mode. Designed with a
wide beam and modified-V bottom with an exceptionally low
center of gravity, this yacht will keep to station right
where you put her, and when the matched set of 800 hp MAN
diesel engines are given the signal she will cruise out at
25 to 30 knots. Built to withstand nearly all sea
conditions, the Cabo 45 Express is as strong as she is
elegant, the result is one of the best mid-sized platforms
afloat for serious fishing and waterborne fun.
At the stern a brief swim platform with an
artful stainless steel fold-down swim ladder
provides convenient boarding access to the cockpit through
a transom door. Designed for fishing, the cockpit has
molded-in non-skid decking, padded combings, built-in
fish-holds, a large bait tank with Lucite window built
into the transom, a bait-prep & tackle center built into
the forward cockpit bulkhead adjacent to an engine room
access door, a pedestal mounted fighting chair and all the
other amenities game fishers expect to have at-hand aboard
an award winning sport fishing yacht.
Forward and up three steps from the cockpit
the bridge deck is shaded by a fiberglass hard-top
with canvass & isinglass side closures and an integrated
fiberglass arch over the top for antennas & lights. An
upholstered L-shaped settee extends along the aft portion
of the bridge deck and to port around a center mounted
helm settee. The helm settee is elevated by a custom base
with storage drawers inset to port and starboard and at
the back a fold-away serving table for the aft settee.
From a nicely elevated vantage point the helmsman has
clear views for piloting, monitoring the engine gauges,
and viewing the excellent array of navigation electronics
fitted into the fiberglass consol above the ships wheel.
An electrically operated center windshield window adds
ventilation when needed, and to starboard of the helm
another settee is positioned to create a natural
passageway from the cockpit to the cabin.
A sliding fiberglass door gives access from
the bridge deck and down three steps to the main
salon. This finely finished cabin features a teak & holly
sole, padded white headliner with inset spot lighting, and
a tinted, overhead ventilation hatch. To starboard is a
nicely built-in galley that extends forward from the cabin
entry to an L-shape at a forward bulkhead for the head
compartment. The galley features an elegant Lapis blue
Corian countertop with a custom white Corian sink mounted
to a gloss white wood cabinet base, and a recessed two
burner ceramic cook top stove with Corian cover that is
fitted over side-by-side Nova Kool refrigeration & freezer
units. Above the stovetop a microwave / convection oven
is fitted into a matching set of white storage cabinets
above the galley counter. Spot lighting inset to the
headliner inboard of the upper cabinets give a pleasing
illumination to the counter and stove workspace. Opposite
the galley at the port side of the salon is U-shaped
settee upholstered in sumptuous blue leather, and a
high-low teak table with a fold-out top allowing service
for cocktails or cuisine.
To starboard and forward of the salon
settee and galley, is a teak entry door to an
enclosed head. The head compartment with access doors
from the salon and master cabin features a teak & holly
sole, Sealand Vacuflush MSD, Lapis blue Corian counter
fitted with custom sea-rails with a white under mounted
Corian sink with Moen fixtures, a wall mounted vanity
cabinet with mirror, and an elegantly designed circular
stall shower.
Forward of the head and salon, the bow
section of the yacht is dedicated to a master cabin
with teak entry door. Fitted with a centerline queen size
bed, overhead hatch, hanging locker with double teak
doors, a built-in bureau with teak drawers, and a built-in
TV cabinet with teak trim, the air conditioned master
cabin provides all the appropriate accommodations, and a
separate teak door entry to the head compartment An
enclosed head features Corian countertops, and a stall
shower.
Beneath the bridge deck and accessed from
the cockpit is a stand-up engine room with
stainless steel safety rails inboard of the main engines.
Specifically designed for good access to all machinery and
with gel coat interior surfaces painted with a durable,
chemical resistant white L.P. paint, the engines are
readily maintained and the engine room is easily cleaned.
The foredeck has a fiberglass bowsprit
fitted with stainless steel cover plate, anchor
roller, anchor windlass with through-deck chain drop to a
below deck chain locker, and an in-deck locker with hatch
for the windlass power switches and washdown bib.
Molded-in diamond pattern non-skid decking and wrap-around
stainless steel hand rails welded to deck mounted
stanchions make the broad foredeck area quite secure. |
