Boarding the vessel from a
fiberglass swim platform a transom door opens to a complete
sportfishing cockpit. The nonskid cockpit sole has flush
hatches for access to a catch box and lazarette storage.
At center is a large oval fiberglass live bait well with windows
and stainless steel rod holders. The forward portion of the
cockpit has engine controls, built-in tackle and bait prep stations, walk-in
access to the engine room, and a stainless steel ladder to the
flying bridge with a beautifully done custom Tuna tower with
helm controls. The flying bridge has tournament style helm
station located at the aft end with an L-shaped settee forward
for guest seating. The foredeck is fitted with a custom
bait tank, tender cradle, launching davit, and a hard bottom
inflatable tender with center counsel helm, trim tabs, and a
Bimini top.
At the salon entry from the
cockpit the interior features large windows, tan carpet,
finished mahogany cabinets and bulkhead facings, and headliner
with valances and rod holders. Furnished with an L-shaped
sofa with foldout bed and arm chair the salon is nicely situated directly aft of
a well equipped up-galley and booth style dinette with fore and
aft seating for four. Forward and down a few steps from the
galley and dinette are the heads and the popular three stateroom
layout. The master's
cabin is amidships and to port with a queen
size berth and an ensuite head with stall shower. To starboard
is a guest head and a stateroom with upper and lower berths.
At the bow is another guest stateroom with a similar
configuration. Each cabin is well appointed with ample
storage drawers and compartments. Conveniently located off the passageway to
starboard of the master's cabin is a guest
head with stall shower.

REMARKS:
|
Well known and admired by
knowledgeable yachtsmen the 52 Hatteras Convertible is an
American built sportfishing classic. This particular yacht
has been upgraded and well cared for. Of particular note
is that the engines were rebuilt in 2003 and set for fuel
economy. With the 1,200 gallons of onboard fuel the boat
can cruise nonstop from La Paz to San Diego (cruising speed is
16 to 18 knots). The custom Tuna tower is beautifully built, a
new 48 mile radar is installed and a nearly new 96 mile radar is
prepared to replace an existing 72 mile model. Also a 7.5
CFM dive compressor is installed at the cockpit with storage for
4 dive tanks and dive gear. A cockpit freezer has just
been rebuilt with new water cooled compressor and extra cooling
coils to the top of the freezer box. Custom cockpit and
bow bait tanks, and a bow mounted tender with
davit are a few additional features that make this particular
yacht ideal for the West Coast sport fisherman.
If you are ready to really enjoy sport fishing, this fine three stateroom Hatteras 52 is
US Documented, attractively priced, and ready for you in the heart of
Baja's famous fishing grounds.
