Next aft is the main salon with port and starboard cushioned settees fitted with nearly new upholstery and a drop leaf table for dining.  Aft of the port settee is a nicely configured navigation station with built-in instrumentation. At the port side dinette settee is a nicely appointed L-shaped galley with double stainless sinks near centerline.  Aft of the galley is an under cockpit full beam captain's cabin with entry doors to port and starboard of the companionway to the cockpit.  This aft cabin features a centerline double wide berth, built-in storage cabinets and lockers to port and starboard, and access to the aft head (to port of the companionway) with vanity and shower.

The interior of this yacht features nicely crafted and varnished wood cabinets,  shelves, moldings and floors.  White headliners, hull liners, opening portlights and deck hatches give the interior a roomy, light, and well ventilated presence.

The low slung cabin trunk, wide side decks, roomy fore deck and T-shaped cockpit allow an easy traverse from bow to stern, and the well proven Hunter 40 hull shape / sail plan provides for excellent cruising performance and helm control.

LISTING AGENT REMARKS:

The Hunter 40 is one of the primary designs that launched Hunter Yachts into being one of the worlds dominate sailing yacht manufactures. If you are looking for a very reasonably priced performance cruiser with a comfortable layout for two couples  look no further.   This particular Hunter is nicely set up for short handed sailing, has been lightly used in the mild climate of Southern California and is in good condition.
